Radio Station Relationships with A4MD

With the corporate take-over of so many media sources, independent radio is one of the last remaining venues for free speech. Artists for Media Diversity’s goal is to protect the freedom of independent media in the United States by facilitating relationships with independent artists and providing support to independent radio stations where possible.

A4MD is designed to help diversify your station's portfolio of grassroots music talent to increase your station’s resources. The model works by using A4MD as a hub of interaction between independent radio, independent artists and the community.

A4MD is designed to facilitate supportive relationships between stations and musicians. We're asking stations to sign up with A4MD to express their interest in our activities, both present and future, as together we encourage local artists to share wonderful live music performances, recorded in your station, with other stations and their communities, through A4MD. A4MD has developed, and is about to launch, a Live Music Broadcast Archive service so that your listening communities can download their favorite live music recordings. Proceeds from sales of the downloads are then channeled into keeping independent media independent by supporting live music shows and the independent stations that created the recording.
